Guru Diksha is not merely about receiving a mantra; it is about receiving the guidance, discipline, and understanding needed to walk the path of Sadhana under the Guru’s direction.
Guru Diksha is not presented merely as the act of receiving a mantra. It represents the beginning of a structured relationship between the Guru, the disciple, the mantra, and the spiritual discipline that follows.
According to the tradition of Shiv Shakti Siddheshwar Akhara, the Guru Mantra lineage is connected with Sadashiv, Datt Guru, Matsyendranath, and Gorakhnath. Through Guru Diksha, the disciple is guided not only in mantra practice but also in the rules, Vidhi, discipline, and conduct required for the path of Sadhana.
According to the Akhara’s spiritual tradition, progressing in Sadhana requires more than personal effort. Proper guidance, correct mantra practice, discipline, and the understanding of how a Sadhana should be performed are considered important.
A guided approach helps practitioners maintain consistency, deepen their understanding, and follow the Sadhana with clarity.

Guru Diksha begins a structured spiritual path through the Guru Parampara. The disciple receives the Guru Mantra, guidance for regular Jaap and Sadhana, and direction for Yajna, Anushthan, spiritual discipline, and Satkarma. According to the Akhara’s tradition, the disciple may also receive Chetana Mantra and, where considered eligible, Gayatri Mantra Diksha. A Siddh and Pran-Pratishthit Rudraksha or Sphatik Mala, prepared through Sava Lakh Guru Mantra Jaap, is also provided for continued spiritual practice.
For disciples living a Grihastha life, the Akhara gives special importance to three Sadhanas after Guru Diksha.
